Permit Submittal

Below is a list of work that requires a Permit. Although all work requiring a permit may not be listed, it is best to contact the City before starting any work at your home or business to see if a permit is necessary and to avoid citations and fines.

Plat Review: Plat review is a process that involves evaluating the proposed layout, boundaries, infrastructure, and compliance with regulations to ensure orderly and well-designed subdivisions that meet the city’s requirements and promote responsible growth. Plats are ONLY accepted the week following city council meeting. City council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

All contractors working in the city must pull a permit for each address before starting any work. Contractor must appear in person to sign the application and provide license, identification, and certificate of insurance. The certificate holder should be the City of Arcola, 13222 Highway 6, Arcola, TX 77583

We do not accept online or credit card payments currently. Permit fees can be paid via money order or cashier’s check made payable to the “City of Arcola”
